ABOUT US

The Miracle League allows all children to play organized baseball, regardless of ability. Special-needs kids dress in uniforms, make plays in the field and round the bases, just like their peers in standard little leagues.

Miracle League baseball is played on a custom-designed field featuring a cushioned, rubberized, completely flat surface to prevent injuries and allow access for the visually impaired and those in wheelchairs. All areas of the field, including the dugouts and restrooms, are universally accessible.

The Miracle League of Milwaukee partnered together with the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee to build the complex and offer the program to youth throughout greater Milwaukee. In 2011, the Miracle League Field opened at the Northwest YMCA (formerly John C. Cudahy YMCA) on Milwaukee’s northwest side.  The field, through a custom-designed, rubberized turf, accommodates wheelchairs and other assistive devices and creates a baseball environment that is open to all.
