VOLUNTEER WITH

THE MIRACLE LEAGUE

Volunteering with Miracle League of Milwaukee is a great way to gain experience working with children with disabilities and to give back to the community.

Listed below are brief descriptions of volunteer opportunities with the Miracle League.

Director of the Day
The Director of the Day coordinates with all buddies, coaches, announcers, and other volunteers to provide for the best possible baseball experience for the players. The Director of the Day takes out the equipment, welcomes and greets all coaches, volunteers and participants, and organizes the teams to ensure a timely start! This is a 5-week commitment.

Player Buddies
One of the most important elements of a Miracle League game is the "buddy" program. Each player is paired with a friend to assist them on and off the field during a two inning game. Click here to learn more about becoming a buddy.

Team Coaches
Help manage, coordinate, lead and encourage selected team.  Serving as a team coach is a 5-week commitment.

Umpire
Help manage and officiate game. Responsible for overseeing the behavior and the safety of all players and their buddies playing baseball.

Team Parents
Assist coaches with team activities, and act as liaison for the team. Demonstrates enthusiasm, love and concern for each player and family.

Announcer
The announcer is the master of ceremonies. We need you to be fun and animated - the kookier the better! This is big time for these kids!
